I’m head over heels in love with these portraits by Lisa Krannichfeld. Born in Little Rock, AR, Lisa is a watercolor artist who dressed up these painted ladies with Japanese Origami paper. Love them!

Lisa sells original artworks and prints at Saatchi Art.

Like these very much. I like to loose drawing, the lack of fussiness, the willingness to let the water take the pigment where it will. I like the odd expressions that result.

I also like the the use of mixed-media/collage. The contrasts between the over-intricate papers and the lose drawing is jarring.

These are lovely. I enjoy the structure and the likeness. Beautiful!

Not likeness but looseness. The organic flow of watercolor.
