How would you best describe these beautifully bizarre characters by Zsalto? Magical? Misterious? Slightly strange or simply beautiful? I think I’m gonna go with all four. With so many details, colors and curiosities I find it pretty hard to look away from them once they catch my eye. Love!
Zsalto is currently based in California, though her Hungarian roots still reflect strongly in her folkloric style. Another important inspiration for Zsalto are her travels; living in Budapest, Barcelona and Berlin caused for continuous change in nature and cultural environment, which she is very thankful for. For her paintings she mostly works on paper and uses watercolors and gouache.
