About Cece
Cece Merkle is a designer, illustrator and allround maker based in Kansas City, Missouri. She loves to paint florals and bits of nature in grayscale, and then turning her illustrations into colorful surface designs. Cece currently creates faux fabric collars which she also loves to mix and match with her own outfits. She has a hard time throwing away the fabric scraps, so she saves them to make lovely collages that you can find on her beautiful Instagram feed.
Cece graduated from Tyler School of Art at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA with a BFA in Graphic Design. She has been a designer at Hallmark Cards Inc. for 10 years and recently became Art Director in the Trends Studio at Hallmark. She is inspired by Vintage textile design and the creative friends she works with. On nights and weekends she keeps herself busy painting and sewing her original work.
