Lately I’ve been thinking that I should post more artworks with animals in them. I love animal art! Alexandra Eldridge’s beautiful mixed media paintings are a perfect way to stick to this intention. It’s not just the animals that make her works so wonderful. It’s everything about them: the soft colours and playful style… I love the surreal elements of her work, which in some paintings are visible at first sight and in others can be found in little oddities. “My paintings emerge from a place where contradictions are allowed, paradox reigns and reason is abandoned.
