From Japan, with love

Konnichi-wa, my friends! Upcoming March I will visit Japan for a month and get myself drenched into the Japanese contemporary art world. I will visit artists, galleries, exhibitions, events, and many many many more exciting things. Of course I will do full report of all of this on the blog. And since I cannot wait until March, I’m posting my favorite works by my favorite Japanese artists on the blog today.

Any suggestions?
If you have a favorite Japanese artist that’s missing from this selection but would fit in well, I would love to hear from you in a comment!

    Hi Sandra,

These Japanese artists are super! Thanks for sharing.

Would love to add one to your list. A Japanese illustrator and comic book artist called Yumi Sakugawa.

I first came across her work about a year ago when someone shared her comic ‘I think I am in Friend Love with you’ and since then loved everything she does.
