It has been six months since I launched my ceramics shop, The Pottery Parade. I realized this the other day when I was browsing through my previous posts about my clay adventures. It is so much fun to see all the types of ceramics I created over these last few months; the things I have experienced with and how, even though I’ve been making pots with faces from the beginning, they have somehow changed over time as well.
Things have been going well with my pottery and I have the enthusiasm and interest from ceramic lovers all over the world to thank for that. It has allowed me to spend more and more time working fromĀ Studio Noot & Zo, creating new characters and experimenting with new techniques, colors and patterns. Yup, I’m really growing in to the patterns! Curls, dots and ferns on the bottoms that cover these little clay-made folks like sweaters and coats.
Now that creating ceramics has become part of my daily routine, things can get a bit hectic and challenging as I also continue to spend a lot of time on this blog. I tend to be stubborn at times and put too many to-do’s in one day. But being able to combine this blog, writing about other people’s creations that inspire me, with creating things myself makes it so worth it!
One of my favorite moments of the week is seeing new pots come out of the kiln. When I went to the studio this Wednesday, Suus (my teacher and a great ceramist) had just unloaded my biggest collection of pots ever. Seeing them altogether..oh my.. it’s such an exciting and satisfying experience!
Shop update today at 7pm CEST time!
Below you will find the most recent collection of pots I created. Many of these will be available in my shop update, which happens today at 7pm Central European time. On my Instagram I have posted a little preview in my stories to give you a good impression of what they look like. It’s also the spot where I announce all future shop updates and share the things I have been working on lately.
I hope you’ll enjoy the collection. Lots of love from Holland!
