I posted some of Monica Barengo’s wonderful, romantic illustrations quite a while ago, when I had only just started this blog. Meanwhile she continued to dazzle me with her beautiful works, so it’s about time for a share of some of her more recent works. Love!
We’re starting off this new year with some new illustrations by Italian artist Elisa Talentino. Elisa was featured on the blog a while ago and has just finished a new art book called Bendata di Stelle (Blindfolded with stars). Thought it would be nice to share some of the recent works here. Bellissimo!!
No better way to start off the week then with these rich, romantic, super-dreamy illustrations by Evelyn Daviddi. So precious! Evelyn Daviddi was born and raised in Italy, and decided to become an artist at a very early age. Her wonderful illustrations have appeared in many children’s books and she has participated in various exhibitions. Evelyn is also an illustration teacher at the International school of Comics in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Many more to be found on her site:
Time for some flowers & romance! Kanchan Mahon is a self-taught artist who creates exquisite handmade papercut collages which I would put upon my wall any time. I love their classic style and romantic, dreamy, otherworldly surroundings… Kachan has a very large & rich portfolio so make sure to go and see more on her site. She also sells her artworks on Redbubble. Enjoy!
Beauty can be found in the most unexpected moments. I love it when artists focus on less usual yet surprisingly beautiful fragments. These are the works of Jarek Puczel, a painter from Poland who succeeds to catch those moments and transform them into clean, calm and at the same time intensive images. The clear lines and colours easily make us focus on the subjects, and stare at them for a long time.. I’m especially fond of his Lovers series, which shows heads of couples in a semi-abstract but immediately recognizable style, surrounded by nothing but a beautiful soft colour. Very intimate, and simply breathtaking..
