The paintings of Massachusetts-based artist Jessica Brilli reveal a hidden beauty in every day objects. Or better said: every day objects from the past. Jessica likes to visit flea markets and antique shops looking for things that inspire her, such as Kodak cameras, transistor radios, and manual typewriters. The result: a beautiful collection of paintings called the Static Series, that gives a contemporary flavor to technologies from the past.

Nostalgia made physical! I can imagine my fingers dialing the turquoise phone, the resistance of the keys of the green typewriter. Very evocative!
