There’s something so beautiful and curious about these painted sceneries by Austin based artist Heather Sundquist. Visiting her portfolio got me staring at these single pieces forever. With beautiful colors and vibes that are dreamy and slightly surreal, her works have this calming effect that makes me want to visit these beautiful places, which are illustrated fragments of Heather’s memories:
My illustrations have become pieces of the stories that I tell myself. Their purpose is to preserve memories like souvenirs. They’re a place where I have control over how I want to address a memory and how I want to file it in my mind.
You can find a selection of Heather’s work available on print in her shop!
