I’ve been a long-time fan of Irena Sophia’s whimsical ladyportraits. Big eyes, magical settings and oh so charming! Inspired by soft lines and serene scenes, Irena Sophia creates works that are influenced by combinations of vintage illustration, folk art and modern design. She has a fine art degree in painting and her works have been featured in various publications (like this beautiful cover of Flow Magazine).
ART Retreat Croatia
Irena believes anyone can be a creative and that the most important things that come along are courage and faith in the creative process. With this philosophy in mind she is organizing an art retreat in her beautiful home country, Croatia. The retreat will take place this summer and is currently open for anyone that is looking to explore their creativity in a fun, laid back and inspiring environment.
The art retreat is a program of 8 days which will take place in Vodice Šibenik; a beautiful historic town located at the coast of the Adriatic sea. The program offers daily art classes by Irena herself that cover subjects as basic drawing, coloring exercises and illustration techniques. And don’t worry: relaxing and exploring the area are on the schedule too!
Sounds like a pretty nice way to spend the summer right? The program is currently open for both beginning and advanced participants!
