Nostalgia never looked this good. Canadian artist Amy Friend ‘re-makes’ old vintage photographs and gives new life and meaning to long forgotten fragments. The works are part of a project called Dare alla Luce, meaning To Bring the Light (in Italian). As the title suggests, Amy brings new light to the old fragments in the images. “I return the subject of the photographs back to the light, while simultaneously bringing them forward. The images are permanently altered; they are lost and reborn.”
