I can’t stop staring at the magical, whimsical creations by Dutch artist Dorris Vooijs. Love her use of different materials (like spray paint, pencils, embroidery and ink) and the soft, subtile colorings in her works. Dorris uses collected vintage photographs as a base to cover up with several layers until she feels it ‘ might be time to step back and leave it alone’. Seems like perfect timings to me. Beauty!

These are amazing. Love the textured look of the canvases and the way she conveys so much using so little color. This artist breaks a lot of rules and succeeds because of it.
