Like a lot of art on this blog, Meghan Howland’s beautiful portraits have a very dreamlike atmosphere. Her characters seem to be represented in a more complex context however, balancing somewhere on a line between danger and security. I love how she includes natural elements in her paintings, such as flowers and birds.. It raises mystery and curiosity, and leaves room for us to give our own meaning to the works.
Meghan Howland graduated from the New Hampshire Institute of Art in Manchester, NH in 2008. She is currently based Portland, Maine. If you are near Boston this November, you can view a selection of her works at the Seventeenth Annual Boston International Fine Art Show (November 21-24).

when I watch her paintings , I feel a lonely soul full of passion with a deep desire for freedom and love, which is limited and bounded by reality..she doesn`t like these realities..! me myself do not believe this view about life..instead,I believe that soul and reality can be together in complete peace.one in two part…but of course, she`s a good painter..!
