From an early age Laura McKellar began to collect imageries that inspired her such as old film cameras, second hand picture books and dress pattern illustrations. During her graphic design studies she began to include digital art with her mixed media pieces and further developed her wonderful, playful style. Her works usually start off on the computer where collages are created from collected images. Then, they are printed on textile and finished off with beautiful detailed embroidery.
