She was one of the first illustrators whose work I shared on this blog and I still fall madly in love every single thing she creates; Kate Pugsley’s works are fun, refreshing and have a wonderful quirky style that that always gets me in a happy mood.
Currently based in Chicago, Kate Pugsley is an illustrator, painter and surface designer who studied illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design. She uses various materials for her work, such as oil paint, gouache and cut paper. I’m also a big fan of her more abstract works which you can find here.
If you’re interested to see how Kate works, have a peek at her guest blog on Flow Magazine’s site where she gives a little exercise that will help to get your inspiration moving. For more about Kate and her work, visit her website and follow her on Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest & Twitter.
