These illustrations are the work of Yelena Bryksenkova. Aren’t they lovely? As Yelena explains, they are inspired by her love for home and comfort of everyday subjects. I love the colors she uses, as well as all the lovely little details (such as patterns & plans) that fill up her works and transform them into beautiful and rich little paintings.
Originally from Saint Petersburg, Russia, Yelena Bryksenkova received her BFA in illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. She was raised in Northeast Ohio, studied illustration in the Czech Nepublic and now lives in New England. So this home-lover has seen quite some parts of the world! Yelena has illustrated for a vatiety of clients including The New York Times, Real Simple Magazine & Urban Outfitters.

Hi, I really liked your blog and I enjoyed checking the other artists you presented. I’m trying to do the same things with my favourite illustrators so if you can give me tips or some interesting names I will be glad to write about them. This is my post on Yelena Bryksenkova, I hope you like and share it if you can. http://www.theuntidygazette.com/intimate-images-and-watercolour-interiors-by-yelena-bryksenkova/
