A flower fiesta on the blog today! Inspired by historical botanical prints, artist Ann Wood creates beautifully handcrafted flowers using paper and wire. The flowers are sewn onto fabric and framed, resulting into tiny gardens you can hang on the wall. So beautiful!
Besides flowers, Ann also creates feathers & butterflies of which you can find some samples here.
Ann wood is part of an artistic duo called Woodlucker, which she founded with Dean Lucker in 1987. They create individual as well as collaborative pieces. Ann creates mixed media portraits and theatrical tableaus, Dean creates beautiful, narrative sculptures.
You can find both their portfolios and more information about Woodlucker on their website. Follow them in Instagram for inspiration and updates!
